Featured Position Wind Turbine Repair Technician II - Mason City, IL

In this position you’ll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines. During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. At this NEW site near Mason City, IL, you will typically have shifts 5 days a week at 8-10 hours a day and potential overtime. You also will have a rotation schedule for off-work hours (weekends). The team here normally works in teams of 2-3 and typically will climb 1-2 turbines a day. The sites in our region offer opportunity for growth!

The AME Serious Incidents team's purpose is to allow VAME to provide a safe, efficient, and uniform response in cases of significant component damage, customer visibility, and safety risk. The SI team consolidates the expertise of many groups across the Vestas organization to assist in initial response and safe approach, damage assessment and material identification, safe removal of deranged material, component replacement and return to service, and root cause investigation.
